SpillHub Rules
- SpillHub is a community platform dedicated to open, authentic, and constructive creator discussions.
- The 8 Platform Rules apply universally across all public communities, posts, comments, handles, and direct interactions.
- Violations are subject to automated moderation filtering, content quarantine, strikes, temporary suspensions, or permanent platform bans.
Rule 1: Remember the Human
SpillHub is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking fellow humans. Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Harassment, hate speech, bullying, slurs, dehumanizing language, threats of physical violence, and sexual degradation are strictly forbidden.
Critique ideas, code, strategies, and design architectures passionately—never attack the individual behind them.
Rule 2: Follow Community Standards
Participate in communities where your contributions are relevant and meaningful. Each community ('r/[slug]') establishes unique topical guidelines and standards.
Familiarize yourself with community-specific rules before submitting. Respect the decisions of volunteer moderators who preserve the topical integrity of their spaces.
Rule 3: Respect Privacy & Personal Data
Never publish personal or private information belonging to another person ('doxing') without their prior written consent.
This includes private telephone numbers, residential addresses, private email exchanges, national identification numbers, bank account details, or unredacted intimate personal communications.
Rule 4: Zero Tolerance for CSAM & Sexual Violence
SpillHub maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any form of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Any attempt to upload, transmit, link to, or solicit such material will trigger immediate account termination, IP ban, cryptographic hash logging, and mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate statutory law enforcement agencies.
Rule 5: Zero Tolerance for Illegal Acts & Fraud
Do not use SpillHub to solicit, facilitate, coordinate, or execute illegal transactions or unlawful activities.
Prohibited conduct includes coordinating the sale of illicit substances, illegal weapons, stolen credentials, malicious software, pyramid schemes, fraudulent investment syndicates, or counterfeit goods.
Rule 6: Authentic Engagement & No Spam
SpillHub is designed for genuine human interaction. Do not post repetitive, unsolicited commercial messages, stealth affiliate funnels, or deceptive links.
Do not use automated bots to artificially manipulate upvotes, downvotes, comments, or feed rankings. Sybil attacks and vote brigading undermine platform fairness and will result in permanent disqualification.
Rule 7: Keep It Authentic & Disclose Commercial Ties
Do not impersonate other creators, individuals, companies, or public figures in a manner that confuses, deceives, or defrauds users.
If you are compensated to promote a product, service, startup, or token, or if you hold a material commercial interest in what you discuss, you must clearly disclose this affiliation using explicit tags such as #ad or #sponsored.
Rule 8: Do Not Disrupt Platform Infrastructure
Do not interfere with the proper functioning of SpillHub's network, database, or client software.
Prohibited activities include launching denial-of-service attacks, injecting malicious scripts (XSS), probing system vulnerabilities without authorization, bypassing rate limits, or mass scraping user data without an approved API license.
Enforcement Philosophy & Escalation Ladder
We enforce these rules via automated pattern detection, heuristic anomaly monitoring, volunteer community moderation queues, and professional trust & safety audits.
Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, our enforcement actions escalate as follows:
- Contextual Warning: An automated or moderator warning directing the user to review the relevant policy.
- Content Quarantine / Removal: Immediate removal of the offending post or comment from public feeds.
- Temporary Account Mute / Suspension: Revocation of posting, commenting, and voting capabilities for 3, 7, or 30 days.
- Permanent Account Termination: Total forfeiture of handle, profile, and posting rights across the SpillHub and FOMO Spills ecosystem.
- IP & Device Quarantine: Network-level blocking to prevent repeated ban evasion.
